IQWeb Registration Instructions

Registration for OWU classes is now available through IQWeb!

  • Certain STOPs will not allow you to register online and you will need to visit the office that has a STOP on your account to clear that before you can register.
  • If there are any time conflicts in your schedule (for example, sports practice), you can not register online for the courses that conflict, but you can register online for all but the courses that conflict and finish the registration by paper.
  • If you are taking a directed study, you will have to register for that class separately by paper, but you can register for the rest of your classes online.

Registration process

  • Login to IQWeb. Your user name is typically first initial, last name (i.e. Charlie Brown would be cbrown). Some user names are first initial, middle initial, last name (i.e. Betty Sue Brown would be bsbrown). If you cannot remember your password, contact the Registrar’s office and we can reset your password for you.
  • Click on “Search for Courses” on the left side of the screen
  • Choose the year and date you want to register from the drop down list in Year/Term (ex. 2010/Fall)
  • Choose “Traditional” from the drop down list in Session
  • You may narrow your search further by choosing a department or inputting the course. When inputting a course, XXXX9999 is the proper format (no space between letters and numbers).
  • Click on “Search”
  • Click on “Add to cart” for each course you want to add.
  • A pop-up will confirm you have added the course to your cart. Close the window.
  • Continue to add additional courses to your cart in the same way.
  • Don’t forget to register for Chapel! SFOR 1000 Chapel will need to be on all full-time  student schedules.
  • Athletes – Don’t forget to register for your sport(s) in the proper section (0001 for men and 0002 for women) and the proper class level (i.e. PHYE 1911 Freshman soccer, PHYE 2911 Sophomore soccer, PHYE 3911 Junior soccer, PHYE 4911 Senior soccer)
  • Click on “Register for Courses” on the left side of the screen.
  • Click “go” by the year and term for which you want to register (ex. 2010/Spring).
  • Review the list to make sure that the course(s) you want are on the list. If you remove the green check mark in the column labeled “submit,” then it will not be submitted to your advisor.
  • Click on the green checkmark by “Submit for Approval.”
  • An email will go to you and your advisor, who will then need to approve your course(s) for registration. You will receive a confirmation email when your classes are approved. If a class is declined, you will also be informed via email.
  • If your class is declined and you don’t know why or what other class to choose, contact your advisor. If you need a course substitution for some reason, you also need to contact your advisor. If you prefer to register on paper, stop by the Registrar’s office for a registration form.
  • Visit Student Financial Services and Student Accounts to complete necessary paperwork.

When all steps have been completed, Pre-Registration has been completed!  Please remember that if you complete all steps of the Registration Process before you leave at end of the semester (and you don’t change your class schedule or housing) you can avoid standing in line on the day of Fall Registration, which will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010.
